Joel Tikalsky, DPM

Dr. Joel Tikalsky brings a passion for science to his mission of providing expert podiatry at Family Foot & Ankle Clinic LLC. As a podiatrist who hails from Weston, Wisconsin, Dr. Tikalsky offers the respect and care of a hometown doctor while helping patients manage foot and ankle problems of every kind.

From routine foot care, such as removing ingrown toenails and treating fungal infections, to more advanced foot and ankle surgeries using the latest laparoscopic techniques, Dr. Tikalsky ensures that his patients move as freely as possible in the world.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse in 1998, Dr. Tikalsky graduated from the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine/Chicago Medical School in 2003.

He then went on to complete his surgical residency at Provena St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, Illinois, and associated hospitals. Dr. Tikalsky’s training placed special emphasis on advanced wound care, diabetic care, and advanced surgical techniques.

Dr. Tikalsky is certified in podiatric surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and he’s currently on staff at six area hospitals. To stay on top of the latest developments in podiatry, Dr. Tikalsky routinely attends continuing education conferences.

When he’s not caring for his Weston patients, Dr. Tikalsky enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors in his native Wisconsin.

Mark Thomas, DPM

Dr. Thomas graduated from the Midwestern University where he earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 2009.

He completed his surgical residency with strong emphasis in reconstructive forefoot, rearfoot and ankle surgery at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa.

He treats all foot and ankle conditions with particular interest in sports medicine and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. His mission statement is to provide the best medical surgical treatment for his patients to keep them active.

Dr. Thomas and his wife reside in Wausau, WI with their three children. Outside of work he enjoys spending as much time as he can with his family. He also enjoys the great outdoors, playing soccer and baseball.

Mark Magnus, DPM

Dr. Magnus was born and raised in the northern suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Denison University in Grandville, Ohio with a major in Biology. He earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, Illinois. He then completed his surgical residency training at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Dr. Magnus went on to complete an advanced surgical fellowship at the world-renowned Weil Foot, Ankle, and Orthopedic Institute in Chicago, Illinois, where he had specialized training in sports medicine, reconstructive surgery, regenerative medicine techniques.

Dr. Magnus strives to bring the most compassionate care with a focus on individualizing treatment plans to match the needs of each patient. He places emphasis on evidence-based medicine and conservative treatment prior to consideration of surgery. He treats all conditions related to the foot and ankle with a special interest in reconstructive surgery, arthroscopy, sports medicine, and limb preservation.

Brian Tuminski, DPM

Dr. Tuminski was born and raised in northeastern Pennsylvania. He went on to complete his doctorate in podiatry at New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York, NY. He then completed his three-year residency at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in northern Virginia, with an emphasis in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery and diabetic limb salvage.

Dr. Tuminski seeks to individualize treatment to best suit his patients’ specific goals. He cares greatly about his patients and takes pride in his work. He believes strongly in evidence-based medicine. He treats all conditions of the foot and ankle, with a special interest in deformity reconstruction, Charcot foot, diabetic wound care, and limb preservation.

Dr. Tuminski lives in Wausau with his wife. In his free time, he enjoys football, rock music, skiing, video games, and spending his time with his wife.
